Bike three years old, jacket used two years on the trot, no probs[1].
the bike has got more than enough juice to run the lights, jacket,
    gloves, GPS, and then some[2]

    Zeroaxe.
[1] But I will let you know the day I do 'run flat'
[2] No, it is not a Goldwing or Beemer.

Does it have a catalytic converter? That will raise the temperature
considerably and will also retain heat longer when you switch off.

Its CB-1 400. He rides too fast on the road. I saw him jump a red light.

U all ride safely, now ;-)

  5. Roll on the day they make remote controlled wires. I mean not having to
plug and unplug the bloody things all the time. I can see the attraction
in heated clothing but what about the connections? How long would they
last if you kept forgetting to unplug yourself when paying for your
    petrol/getting fags etc?

  6. Take the fairing off, that way you won't notice it as much because all
of you will get hot :)

  7. Four years for the Widder ones I use. The new replacement plug looks
    stronger so might go five.

    Lol, steam fried!
Yamaha put a token heat shield to protect the rear fairing, but there's a
gap between the fairing and the exhaust passing. It would look unsightly if
the heat shield went down further, and its only really noticeable when in
    traffic, but heck its hot!

    But its worth it <G>

Ahh, well if you're looking for a recommendation I'm not sure the
current version is so suitable for bike use. IIWY I'd just go to a
_good_ mountain/outdoor shop and select from what's there.

Feck me, we really are moving down the slippery slope
of reasonable discussion here in ukrm. Next thing I know
I'm accused of having a sense of humour. ;-)

I was about to write something similar... A few times I forgot that
little bugger plugged in. Although, I must admit that the connector plug
is a very simple, but clever design. Wish I could post a pic, but if you
would like to see it, drop me a line. Basically, if you do manage to
yank the wire out, all you need is a small flat-head screw driver. Total
of a minute or two to 'repair'. Snd do far so good. Three years running,
and the plug itself still is a tight fit!

Wouldnt trade 'em jacket for nofink! Why move backwards when you've seen
    the light?
