Hornet 600 trouble finding neutral

    Hi,

My 2000 Hornet seems to be getting more difficult to find neutral. From
first gear it used to be just a little nudge to get neutral (but a positive
nudge) but now it seems unless I'm really light footed it goes straight to
2nd. What's the most likely cause - is there an adjustment somewhere that I
    should be looking for/am missing?

    Any advice gratefully received.

Might have stripped the teeth off the neutral gear cog.

Take you straight from 1st to 2nd, that would. There's always the
floating neutral too. If you get it just right, you can make use of
that. Some gearboxes have a maker's supply of spare neutrals, just in
    case, like.

He could try swapping with someone who has a gearbox with too many neutrals.
One of Swellers MZ's should have more than enough.
