OK some of you may recall the entertainment my first bike gave me or at
    least me griping about it.

Anyway after the last time it came back and screwed me around I decided
I'd had enough and was going to ring the shop and demand something be
done. So I rang and got a salesman, said who it was and why. The boss
came on the phone and said "Is that thing still screwing you around ?
Why don't we arrange to swap it for something that suits you".

After I picked myself up off the floor 'coz I was expecting to have to
fight about it, we discussed a couple of options, one being a '93 Virago
which I'd had for a week and quite liked but was 500 less than I paid
for my 2-wheeled garage filler. Since it needed a new battery, and the
seat had a rip I suggested fix them and call it even. "No mate can't do
that, I'd be ripping you off." WTF !? Then me not having to worry about
stamp duty. I did pinch myself.

Suffice to say by this time I was quite pleased - don't get me wrong as
I've said if the bike's been bad, the shop's been twice as good - so
anyway since it was raining (read : pissing down) we decided to talk
    when it cleared a little.

Told a mate at work about my luck and he grinned and said a mate of his
had traded a Hyosung 250GT in on Friday (on an F800 or something :) ).
So anyway it's 500 more than I paid for the other bike. I have it for 2
weeks to see if I still like it. I've had it 2 days and I certainly
    can't see that changing.

Anyway thinking about it, the traily's just a greater temptation to hurt
myself, and I've quite enjoyed the hooning on the road enough, so I've
decided a roadie's the way to go at the moment.

My main dilemma is She Who Must Be Obeyed says I have 500 extra. That
doesn't cover stamp duty though, just the bike. Should I try and scam
whatever the stamp duty will be off the price ? I know it was mentioned
with the boss but honestly I feel kinda bad about asking .. but given
the choice between a 93 and an 05 bike it's got to be a no-brainer.

Should I put a general 'lemon' warning about the old bike with a
description of it (but not the rego#) ? I don't want anyone else to get
stuck with the same bollix I had to put up with.

    Wot 'e said!

Also feel free to give the bike shop a plug. Good will from bike shops is all too rare. It'd be nice to know who is willing to build
    a shop/customer relationship.

Well the shop in question so to speak is Rock Motorcycles at Port
Macquarie. I've heard some bad, lots good - but only experienced great.
It has admittedly only been since late December but it's been intense.

Hey there Yeebok ... If your around port way, im keen to head up to gingers
any weekend. Just drop me a line and I'll find the time.

I've also had very good dealings with rockie, They fixed up my old F650 when
it got totaled beautifully. (someone tried to nick it but just trashed it,
and then left in the driveway - NOICE!)

I'm dealing with camden Haven motorcycles these days, so far, they have been
great. Price wise and service. Im saving around 100 bucks on a set of
    bridgestones for the gsxf.

    Cheers
