Yesterday I had occasion to head down to Preston and back in the c*r.
While traversing the Tebay stretch of the M6 southbound, I noticed a
gaggle of solo headlights in the rear view mirror, so I opened the
    window slightly. I wasn't disappointed; about a dozen litre-plus
sportsbikes screamed past, and disappeared from view in a matter of
seconds - perhaps heading to Brands Hatch? Fucking loonies, but hey -
    nice show, chaps.

Are there any "litre-plus sportsbikes" nowadays?

Well, you understand I'm using a broad brush, but there was definitely
a ZX-12R and a Hayabusa in the pack, as well as the obligatory 'Blades
and Gixers. From the engine notes I heard, I don't think there were
any under 900cc. Perhaps ironically, the Hayabusa was the quietest.
