An off-duty policeman has been charged under the 'hoon' law after he
was allegedly clocked riding his motorcycle at almost twice the legal
speed limit earlier this month, according to police.

The 45-year-old sergeant from the Peel district has been ordered to
surrender his motorcycle within seven days.

The officer was believed to have reached speeds of up to 148khp in an
    80kph zone.

According to police, another officer has been put on administrative
duties after he failed to take action over the alleged offence.

Oh dear, I went faster that that on the way to the Red Cross this morning.
    But in a 110 zone.

Nobody died, where's the friggin crime?

    Theo
When I got my licence there were no speed limits outside of built-up areas.
When you got out of town there was one of those "End Speed Limit" signs.

  5. And if you got pulled over and went to court,
All you had to do, was convince the magistrate that the speed wasn't
dangerous for that particular road and time of day.

You think a court would listen to reason?
