Yeah buddy. We took off at 830am, Sat. Morning, heading due north, up to the Talimena Scenic Ride. We rode, ''what we call the back way around here, ''the'' Oklahoma side, to get on the Mountain Scenic ride over to Queen Wilamena. And, from Mena,Ar, 'we high-tailed it home thru DeQueen, on down to NewBoston. That ride is a round trip ride of about 250. However our days ride was 325 and we were home at 3pm, drinking coffee. The mountains up there were as smokie, as the great Smokies in Tenn. I've ridden them a coupla times. The mountains in easter Okla, are really good looking. The fog, and sun, created a beautiful blue smokey look. It was pretty cold, and the overhead clouds looked as if they were gonna rain on us, at anytime. We were surprised, that we didnt see that many other Riders. Honey, said likely it was the threatning weather reports. Just above the oklahoma area, where we were, there was plenty of Tornados going on, later in the day, ‘‘we read this morning.’’ We rode, we did stop some, but mainly we rode. It was gusto windy at times, but over all really nice & cool, with no humidty. To top it off, My wife was the one who planned this ride, a few weeks back, claiming...""The ride would be my gift to her for Mothers Day''....whatAGal.

Even though it is in a recession, you're very close of lots of good riding. I take from your comment ''gusto windy'' that you traveled in the Winstar...correctO .. ....louie
Wipe the slobber off my mouth, wow what a day. Yall musta seen the Great Spirit up in nair. What a wonderful day. "mainly we rode."
No, Louie we trailered the big heavy ass Valk, but because of the guster'o' winds, we were unable to unload it, but we had it' in case we wanted to actually ride, like that Canada feller, the ''Actual Rider''. It was comforting knowing, that it might be possible, we could ride, or drive, or do both on the lovely Scenic wonder of OK, and Ar. <g>
