Honda VTR 1000 mirrors

    I own a 1998 Honda VTR 1000 bike. Has anyone a relatively cheap solution
    to the mirrors which really only show arms and shoulders and not the
    road behind. Otherwise the bike rocks.

    Alot get made by enthusiastic owners. If in doubt just make up your own
    pattern and get longer bolts.

    A mate of mine made the same thing, except he used some solid 25mm
    thick rubber instead of plastic.

  8. I had the same problem on a Ducati 851, the original hand-built thing
    had useless mirrors down low. All I could see were my knees.

    I just got some of those convex mirror thingies that widen your view.
    They helped immensely.

    But seriously, look where they put the mirrors on the bloody thing.

    The next model (the red one) had the mirrors up higher in the
    conventional position. Didn't look as cool but at least you could see
    behind.
