I'm sorry if this is the wrong group I'm not sure where to post it
( No it won't fit there either) I've been to the Honda ng's but it
    seems its cars only.
I post this on behalf of a non computer friend , he has a Honda SFX50
scooter and is trying to get info on de-restricting it. It's speed is
restricted to about 30 or 35mph. He's been told a slight modification
    can get above these speeds.

Does anyone have a link to site giving instructions on how to do it.

    Thanks

You've cut and pasted that from the FAQ for alt.scooter, haven't you?

I tried to tell him when he bought it, I aint been on a bike in 35
years so I was out of touch with everything. Still even some bikers
    arent too clever either eh.

You need a variator mod, exhaust pipe, modded carb and filter.

Or lob it off a cliff. If your 'friend'[1] really wants a faster scooter,
the best way is to buy one in the first place.

If your 'friend'[1] gets pulled for speeding, and the janitor is having a
bad day, they may enquire as to how a moped was doing 45 in a 30 zone. Oh,
so its no longer a moped. Do -not- duck as the book is thrown, this pisses
    them off.

Leave modding 'peds to spotty ickle 16yo yoofs and move on to something
    bigger.

    HTH, HAND etc.

[1]When it comes to scooters, especially ped scooters, its always a friend.
