    I don't see the point. Now make the clocks mount out of CF would be
    the proper way of doing it and make it lighter and stronger.

    But putting an overlay on the existing plastic just makes it heavier.
    So defeats the point other than looks. And to be honest, CF isn't the
    most attractive substance in the whole, and anyone with half a clue
    can spot the fake stuff a mile off.
