Honda Magna Electronic Tach wires

    Long shot, I have an electronic tach from a Honda Magna ~82. Trying
    to figure out what the wires are for. 2 groups, 1 has 2 wires, a
    brown and a green, the other has 3 wires, a black, yellow and green.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Some guess work here, so don't bet the farm on my answers.
    The brown and green pair are for the lamp, green is ground. The black
    is +12V, the yellow goes to the ignition coil, and the green is, again,
    ground. Keep in mind that the coil on the early Magna fires once per
    revolution because it serves a pair of cylinders spaced 360° apart.
