    Hi guys,

Anyone know of a dealer in Aus that'll sell replacement electrical
connectors for an XR250? They seem to be the same as those used on
most Hondas. I've broken one and don't want to fork out for a new
loom, if I don't have to!

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben.

Take the broken one to a bike wrecker?

What does it connect? Can you replace it with something more generic?

Its the connector that plugs into the CDI box, so a generic connector
is out of the question. The nearest wrecker is a 2hr drive from here,
so I'd rather just replace it with the OEM one if possible. I'll
probably buy 5 or so at the same time and replace others while i'm at
    it.

    Thanks for the idea anyway.

Do you have a picture as I expect it will be a std connector somewhere ,
    maybe some one knows where.

  5. try ashdowns - an auto electrical wholesaler...or your local auto eleccy

or just cut the plug off and put terminals on the wires and plug 'em
into the box individually...cover liberally with silicone

i spose it depends on how picky you are with the repair

These are the connectors i'm after:
    http://61.95.89.81/temp/connectors.jpg I'm pretty sure its a standard
type of connector used on most japanese motorcycles. I actually tried
ashdowns once, but they didn't seem interested. The local auto lecky's
round here aren't interested if its not on their counter infront of
    them...!

    Thanks again for your help.

Nah, but thanks for the link. I've managed to find a few kits in the
U.S/Canada area, but none in Australia yet! Found a good one at
http://www.vintageconnections.com/ but I'd rather buy in Australia if
    possible.

    Thanks again guys!
