18yo lad has one of these to go to & from work.
He says he only has 4 gears yet the Haynes says it should be a 5
    speed.
can anyone point me at the correct info?

    Thankyou.

No idea, but possibly 2nd. He says that he only has four down clicks
to get the gears from neutral. For some reason he does not appear to
have a gear on the up click.

Sounds a bit odd. Normal shift pattern is (from neutral) 1 down, and
4 up for a 5 speed box. Race bikes and old stuff can be the other way
around but I wouldn't have thought a CG125 would be unless someone had
    buggered around with it.

    Bloody hell <MSOHPR>!

Well, if it was good enough for the legendary Fizzie[1]...

[1] I don't care what anyone says, purple ones were always faster.

    Oh well, wonders never cease.

But then, I've never ridden a CG125 and hopefully never will.
