anybody know if honda uses different part numbers on the the same
    _exact_ part?

specifically, I'm wondering about swapping goldwing 'brains', but pls
reply (publicly _or_ by email) if you know wether or not they assign
differeing part numbers to the same part EVER, on ANY part for ANY of
their cars OR bikes OR even, like, lawnmowers...

if they DID do this, it'd tend to make buying, and selling, used parts
_much_ more difficult...cause potential used parts buyers 'much
concern and confusion' :-/ (which, umm, might be the goal?)

also would be VERY interested in hearing from ANYone who's _ever_
swapped a honda Engine Control "brain" into or out of their honda bike
or car into a different year (or different model/or diff model AND
year) honda bike or car, (or mower, outboard, or whatever) and what
    _result_ you got, "functionally"...

    thanks much :)
