Homeward bound

  1. That's what I am, homeward bound. The contract is signed, it's all in
the title company's hand and we'll close in a week to 10 days, so I'll
soon be home again. Hopefully by this time next month, or sooner.
Gonna throw a BBQ and have some help packing and moving. No, I'm not
gonna do as Redshad suggested. I'll have a garage sale though. No,
Bjay, I haven't had a garage sale... yet.

Joe will be able to finish up his shop and get all his tools in
order. He's got motorcycles lined up to work on, along with all the
other stuff he has to build. He's going to be busy and it's my job to
    keep him that way. ;^)

A BBQ in February?? Can I wear my customary shorts, sandals and beer
holder helmet, or is this a dress up kind of event requiring full length
blue jeans and a t-shirt with sleeves?

    Congrats!

Thank you, Precision. :) I am excited. I guess it shows.

Hey, if you can handle it, go for it!
I will be dressing according to the weather conditions. If it's below
50 degrees, I'll be in jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. If it's above
    50 degrees, I'll be in jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. ;)
Thanks, Biff. When we decide on a date and time, I'll post it... just
in case anyone wants to drop by.

Dude, it's gonna be awkward when you and Bjay show up wearing the same
    thing.

====Homeward Bound, that was a good movie about Dogs, those Disney dogs,
going back home, I suspect you feel about like that.<g<

  6. Thanks, Pender. As much as I hate moving, I'll be glad to get this
one behind me. After this move, it will take a kilo of nitroglycerin-
based explosives and a team of Massey Fergusons, to get me to budge
    again.
Fine by me. Tell 'em you won't need armed guards. ;^)

  7. I was thinking about the song and instead of "I wish I was", replacing
it with "I will be soon".
Thanks. I just held on until the right folks showed up. :)

I believe the market is fairly good for places like yours, and homes
that are priced under 150,000 to 200,000, however the higher priced
Homes for sale on the market, are the ones that are stuggling to find
buyers. My home would sell fairly quickly I believe, but probably
Louies would fall in the other category, where there's not that many
buyers.(guesing here, just trying to make convervsation)

Your right about Louies house. I dont know why 2 people need that many
square feet anyway. I get lost in there sometimes and have to call
Louie on the cell phone to get directions how to get out of there. I
have asked him to post exit signs but he wont do it. Maybe I can get
him to put some red arrows on the floor or someting.....better yet, I
think I will drop a bread crumb trail.

==I was truly guessing. So you'd advise one to have theri cell phones
handy<?> if and when one should visit him, and or a GPS, now I imagine
that'd be the 'thang' to have. <g> MrJayT))

GPS wont work...first of all I have only seen GPS's with roads and
streets....never seen one with floor plans in them and secondly you
would loose signal inside the house. You would have to walk out on one
of the many patios to get signal. Bring a cell phone when going to
    Louies...thats the only way.

  12. We had it priced on the low end, just below $200k. For this acreage
and a 2,000 sq. ft. 2-story house with attached garage, huge barn,
work shop and other outbuildings, the new owner got a real good deal.
She was able to get financing, because she's putting up over half in
    escrow.
I'm hoping we hear from the title co., early this week.

As for Louie's house, it's a big one but you couldn't pay me to live
in a big city. This country gal is staying in the country. As it is,
our Breckenridge farm is too close to town. If they expand the city
limits, I'm going to be hopping mad.

  13. Look down and follow the mud? Seems like every time certain friends
of ours come over, they leave a trail of mud. Don't ask me where they
pick up mud, because we haven't had rain in ages.

No mud....Louies woman would have my hide if I tracked mud thru her
    house.

  17. 19 acres. So far we've raised veggies and pastured cows. We also
have the option to buy 120 more behind our place, if we want it.
We're going to be building pens and I'll be selling fresh eggs and
maybe even some fresh, home-churned butter. I already have a list of
people who will buy from us.
