    Those roads are fucking greasy.

Coming through the lanes at about 8.00am I very slightly over cooked
the exit of a tight right hander.

The first indication that all was not well was the sudden rise in revs
followed by the rear trying to over take me. As I eased off the rear
found some grip and straightened the bike up. The jolt was enough to
spit me off but somehow the ensuing tank slapper kept me on.
Suffice to say.. I'm fucking awake now :-/

Thanks for sharing that with us.

I'm about to go to get 2 new tyres from Flitwick Motorcycles,
and then go on to see SWMBO in Newmarket- via the A507.

  4. It makes you glad to be alive doesn't it? Adrenaline like that doesn't
come from the gym and the heavy breathing is all good practice.

You'll be fine, as those tyres do indeed rock, and I don't think that
you're as inclined to be as heroic as Cane. :)

Heh. Believe him. I had a much more minor version of the same thing in
the middle of Kempston yesterday - No slapper (though there's usually a
surplus in Kempston) but a greasy road and the back end fancying a bit of
look round to see what's going on at the front sort of thing.

After I left you at the pub a couple of weeks back - I had a "moment" a
couple of miles down the road.
That adrenalin rush stayed with me all the way back. Lovely .....

I've only had scary moments on Dunlops. The BT45s on the Bandit let go
for a pastime in the wet, and the 208s I've got on the GSXR fairly
shiver with fright at the first hint of rain.

    I hate them.

Yeah, I looked at that and thought the same thing. I also thought it
takes a hamfisted monkey-felcher to make BT45s slide in the wet. Smooth
is the key to wet weather riding.

And what would a hamfisted monkey-felcher be doing on a Bandit 6 eh?

And yes, it was a mistake - although the 208 thing stands.

Piece of piss. I used to be able to get the back wheel of my VT all
over the place in the wet and that ended up being twice shod with Dunlop
BT45s. The front was a different matter though as good as gold in some
respects as there was more stick between road and rubber as there was
    between pad and steel.

I keep telling myself that and last night because it was damp I nearly
fell off I was going so slow.

Granted, they are shit tyres in the wet from what I hear from anyone
    that's used them.
