Hitched as well

Having seen Filths' post, I thought I should mention that I also got engaged
last month whilst on holiday.

Fiancee is now sat in the lounge reading wedding magazines... <sigh>

Still, at least I got the Blackbird before it was too late

 

Don't fret; you can get good ones (wives).

Every Sunday I am off on a motorbike or a mountainbike. A week in the Alps
on my mountain bike - no problem. A taxi ride home from the pub on Fridays,
of course. Another motorbike? Well ..... if you have to (I do).

It doesn't have to cost too much. e.g. I ageed that we need a new sofa, that
was in 1999. We discuss new sofas, we look at them through shop windows, we
consider what size sofa we may need. I confidently expect to buy a new sofa
in 2006 or so.

Decorating; 1 room a year is enough so long as you spend enough time
planning it. It is quite possible to re-emulsion a room in less than a day.
On the back of such sacrifices you can go out on over 300 motorbike rides.

Oh yes, make sure she doesn't read UKRM.
