What sort of Sprint? I have them on my ST 1050 and they are a huge
improvement. The ballast / control units sit in the little locakble
compartment in the right of the fairing. Dead simple. I paid HPS ;)

Ooh! Where do you put your toolkit though? I have it crammed full of
    stuff...
I've seen on t'internet that they can be fitted behind the clocks inside
    the fairing.
How hot do these ballasts get?

My toolkit lives in the garage. Apart from the really important one[1]
    which lives in my pocket.
Not very. Warm to the touch is al I ever found mine getting.

Well, what *exactly* are you going to do with that tool kit? Apart from
take the seat off to get at the fuses?

    I know, I know!
It's just sort of comforting; you know...
Anyway; there's the puncture kit! So there....

My standard toolkit stays under the seat purely because I'd lose it if
I took it out. I carry a Leatherman and a Carole Nash recovery number,
that's all I'll need in the event of a breakdown.

    Is there?

I know the last time I looked at one I decided that there was *no* way I
was going to trust myself to do that type of repair.

IIRC it doesn't even fit under the Sprint ST seat. I know exactly where
mine is. Right hand side of the primary garage.

Two screws with 5mm allen heads hold the seat down at the rear on the
Sprint ST. I know how they work cos I used to PDI them.

No room for a tool kit though :(
I hate taking the seat off, eventually I just know I'm going to tear the
bloody seat cover. Even worse if you have one of those non slip pillion
    covers on.
Any tips for doing this painlessly welcomed...
