Are these the dipping H4 type? if so, Does the dipping work properly?

I'm looking to put a Dipping one on the Harley, but I'm not sure how big the
ballast unit is, or where I can mount it.

    TIA

    Nope, single beam H7, sorry.
Mate had the dippers, they seemed to work fine. Ballast is about double
    a pack of fags.

    Right,
Hiding 2 packs of fags in the headlight, for a non-smoker might be a tad
    difficult! ;o)
Can I get help from the NHS quitline, to fit it?

Mine live in the fairing :)
    I'd suggest a mechanic, TBH.

Luckily, I only have to fit 1 ballast. I hope it'll fit in the headlamp
    nacelle of the "King".
I'll have to go private then ;o)

Nah, I'll fit it myself. I'll let you know how it goes as I've just bought a
    Bi-Xenon kit from said shop.

    Noted.
    Thanks for the info.
I'll certainly have a better chance of hiding a single pack of fags behind
the headlight. Is this a pack of 10 or 20? ;o)

    It's gonna be tight.

Watch this space, in a couple of weeks it might be for sale if I can't get
    it to squeeze in.

Yep, I'd vouch for that. Got another one for my main beam... makes for a
    nice little pair of lights.

I think I can get a single for my main, which will be nice. I need to do
    the cars now.

Are they _that_ good that it's worth doing the car as well?

I've been thinking of doing mine for a while, but wasn't sure it was worth
it, so thought I'd try the bike first.

    I think so, yes.

I'll prolly only do the dips, though. There is surprisingly little space
to fit stuff under the bonnet of my 156.

    Bollox.
I can't get it to squeeze in!
The lamp itself sticks out the back by about an inch or so, and I haven't
got the space to jam it in.
I might buy another to match it and put them in the Trumpet.
Then again, I might just flog this and forget it?

    H4 - 3 Bi xenon, the dippy h4 one.
Not only does it have the ballast unit, but it also has another control box
gizmo. These I could hide under the tank, but I can't get the actual lamp
unit in the headlamp because the magnetic part sticks out the back quite a
    way.
I'll have a look during the week, when I get time, to see if I can get it in
the Trumpet, if so, I'll prolly buy the other and shove a pair in.
Bloody good service from Dian-Shop though, super quick considering from HK,
pricey delivery though, but then again, it was very speedy.

Arse. Would have bought it from you.
Indeed. Shame they don't do H7 in singles. Anyone want to go halves on
    a pack?

Cant help you on that one I'm afraid.
But I could do with a pair to fit the jam-jar!
What bike takes H7 then? I take it that it'll be a two headlamp model & one
will be dip & one main?

The Sprint ST 1050 has 3 H7. Two for dip, one for main.

    ok.
Can you get the three ballasts hidden away? or do you just use the one for
    the dip?

Not got a main, yet. I have the ballasts for the dips in the little
fusebox / toolkit cubby in the fairing. I wouldn't get a third in there,
but I suspect there would be enough space elsewhere.
