HG's 5litre + oil and air filter

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Harry Bloomfield, May 6, 2006.

  1. If your service is due - Hein Gericke have a special offer of a 5 litre
can of 10-40 Motul semi-synth, plus free oil and air filter for £24-50.

For good quality branded oil and 2 filters it's very cheap. I happily
used it in the Bindit, ZX-9R, Thunderace, ZZR11s etc. I'll be using
fully synth Mobil 1 or similar in the Gixer, when I do that again.

    2 Filters?

Last time I looked (read:remembered) they only gave one away.

    Naaah. Oil /and/ air, mate.

Provided the cunts "have the filters in stock". TBH, they may well be
in stock, but if the dim fuckers in the shop can't/won't find them,
    then you're fucked.

Yes it is, an air filter for a Wing's £38.

    Now that *is* good.

I need to do an oil change and with service intervals a 6k, I reckon
    they're stretching it a bit.

3k is more like it plus I like getting dirty and going down the shops
covered in oil. It impresses the burds.
Well, 4ltrs of stock oil (semi-synth) can be had for ~13 quid, same for
an air filter, an oil filter is about a fiver so there's really not much
in it worth worrying about given the frequency of changes. I'd much
rather do that than faff about but then I'd made the bastards get the
stuff ready before I got there so that I could ram it down their throats
if there was a part that wasn't there.

You could probably get a K&N for about 50.
