Renewal quote from Motorcycle Direct: £265.80 inc legal (£29.50)
    Cheapest from confused.com: Policy Shop - £176.69 + £27.25 legal.

Interestingly, Motorcycle Direct come up as "insurer unable to quote
for your details" in the confused.com results. :eek:/

    Anyone used Policy Shop?

I did last year. No claim but they were fine to deal with and quite
happy to promptly email and post me proof of no claims when I told
    them I wasn't renewing.

You're paying the same as me, and seem to be on the same multi-bike
policy. Odds are they'l have now tagged your record with a load of
discounts that stick at renewal time too.

I agree that AC makes the modified bike process much more straightforward.
Conversely the car insurance process with Aviva has fewer annoying/silly
    questions

Are you still allowed to go on European trips?

When I insure my car, just declaring the non-standard alloys bumps the
    premium by about a ton.

It now costs me four times as much to insure a 140mph shopping trolley
as it does a 186mph sportsbike worth roughly the same amount of money.

And I won't even have a reputation after June!

That's why I usually forget that I might not have a standard ZX10R and
when I highsided it in France I was very keen for it to be recovered
back to the UK without any need for an insurance assessor to get
    involved.

So, Germany & Switzerland are okay but France is a no-goer, then?

Blimey. I kinda assumed that everyone our sort of age who's been riding
bikes most of their lives will have had both NU Riders Policies &
    Carole Nash at some point.
