A few question for a few gurus!

Only 85' 700 owner in Virginia looks like?...How are you all doing?

    1) When I utilize my turn signals they will flash on all sides,
however, almost everytime they will flash either very slowly,
intermittantly, or just stready on. What could be the problem? I am
thinking the relay flasher? Where would it be located? Fuses maybe?

    2) I have a problem where I get no light inidcations on the instrument
cluster. Just for neutral, kick stand, temp, or gear inidcator... the
only thing that does work is high beams though?! What could be wrong?
    Fueses, wiring?

    3) Has anyone ever modified the exhaust to straight or slash? I would
like to modify but dont see many available options? Please advise if
there is any kits? All I see is slip ons, or roadhouse makes a set I
    believe.

Often stock stuff is more expensive than aftermarket. The nice thing about
slip-ons is that if your muffler rusts out you just get a new muffler
instead of having to replace the header pipe at the same time.
Okay, you gotta' be joking on this one. Illegal noise? Ever heard a
Harley? Or pack of 'em? Unless you get a cop who's got "issues" I woulnd't
worry about the noise. Even with straight pipes.
Try it and see. Jets are cheap and it's easy to change them. There are
oodles of on-line guides on how to determine proper jetting. And, you might
luck out and not have to change them at all if you're replacing, say, a
    2-into-2 with a 2-into-2 setup.
There are DOZENS of performance exhaust manufactureres out there because the
stock setups rarely offer the best performance. Exhaust is the most often
upgraded item on a motorcycle. Lots of people like a different sound than
    stock exhaust offers, too.
Shit, that rationale would put the whole aftermarket parts industry out of
    business!

    1) and 2)
If nobody tampered with the wiring, I'd check for ground problems,
(maybe a broken wire to ground).
    I once bought a second hand Honda with a non-standard 4-1.
Four pipes, one collector box, one slip-on.
Pipes and the collector box corroded into holes so badly that I
once had to tell a heavily tattood Harley rider that my bike was
not a Harley. He said it looked different anyway.
The 4-1 was no longer for sale, so I had to buy the complete
set of all (stock) pipes, mufflers, clamps, collector box, and all
    seals.
The bike itself was cheaper than that.
    Stick to stock.
