I've just upgraded to Windows 7 and am still feeling my way around.

How on earth do I get the > character in the newsgroup posts to work
    again?

Thanks all you gurus out there.

That will be a setting somewhere in the application you use to read news,
rather than a feature of Windows 7. You appear to be running Windows Live
    Mail, so http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=windows+live+mail+quote
may turn up some useful info.

What are you using to read the news? there should be a setting in
    options/ preferences.

There is no quoted angle brackets in WLM , this option and along with a
few others has been removed from the application.

WLM is a second rate piece of crap that was written as than afterthought
and everybody hates it , it can't even keep the Ng posts in the right
    order for dates.

The best thing to do is to use Thunderbird like everybody else .

I'll check both of these out later. Right now I'm going to have a
beer. Wont solve the problem but it makes me feel better about it.
