Eat less curry and change your pants more frequently.

Engine Degreaser - works a treat.

Might need a wee bit of rubbing, but will also clean it up nicely.

Bought a trail bike recently & the seat was pretty manky - used this & it
came up a treat (both clean & without any gunk!)

  3. I couldn't possibly comment...

I'd imagine that the effects would be worse on an 'all in one' seat
such as on a ZZR600 (all those degrees of freedom available to one's
nylon oversuit clad behind), than a stepped seat such as on an R6...

Come back and tell us that again when you've grabbed a handful of front
    brake.

Have you actually tried this, then?

I used a car dashboard cleaner on the saddle once. Learned my lesson the
    hard way.

You _will_ slide down the seat, as it's the friction between arse and
seat that helps keep you in place on a bike.

Obviously, you can use your arms and legs to brace yourself in place,
but you shouldn't be applying so much pressure on your arms in day to
day riding anyway - you're welcome to try it, but your arms will soon
get tired of stopping your arse slide towards the tank.

I bow to your superior knowledge.......

Any of the racers care to comment on this? - do you keep a secret stash
of slippery stuff to apply to the seat?

  9. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember (SteveH)
    saying something like:
I don't think their arses are in the seat in any one position for long
enough to notice, what with all that pushing back to the pits.
