Help with Laserline alarm/immobiliser

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Steve Bullimore, Jan 19, 2004.

  1. Folks

Just bought a bike with a Laserline alarm/immobiliser and, naturally,
didnt get the instruction manual. Judging by the key fobs (rectangular
with 2 buttons and 1 green led) and searching the 'net it looks like
    an 860 model.

I've already searched this group and the question has been asked
before but with no joy, so sorry for asking again, but if anyone has a
Laserline (860 or similar) alarm and can explain how it works I'd be
    eternally grateful.

The alarm going off every other time I turn the ignition on is
beginning to get on my (and other people's) t*ts.

    TIA

    Steve.

Any Kawasaki dealer should be able to sort you out. The 860 is fitted as
standard to ZZR600s and several other models.

FWIW, I never had any problems with mine, but I can't remember any
    specifics. Sorry.

The ZRX has an 860Ti on it, so I guess it is similar to the one on
    your bike.

Press either of the buttons once to arm (two beeps/indicator flashes)
and again to disarm (one beep/indicator flash) - I tend to use the
    button furthest from the LED.

I've got a set of destructions at home - drop me a line and I can send
    you a copy if needed.

I'll sort you out. 3,300 quid, OK?
