    Ride something that's "not cool" until you're finished dropping it. If
    you drop a sportsbike it will look shit, if you drop a GS it won't look
    much worse than it did, but it'll look better than the banged up
    sportsbike. You won't fix the sportsbike after you find out the cost of
    fairings.

    Get an SV650S - best of both worlds. Decent starter bike, has enough go
    and handling for you to spend a couple of years on and then jump on a
    nice sportsbike.

    Supermotards are made for such abuse and the plastics cost very little.
    Sir wants a DRZ-400 or a KTM 525.
