Mark, Mark, ol' Mark......Reg didnt mean, ''like'' a real ~bone~
    come on.....
don't be so serious. He was refering to
mentioning (throwing) some practical notions of non comlicated
responses, in his response. Bone=Ideas, in this case. Not a Real
    Bone......oh no!

Mark is thinking someone is wanting to "bone her". I don't believe Jackie is
like that. I've chatted with her quite a bit on yahoo a while back and from
what I got, she's just wanting to ride a motorcycle and partake in
activities. She's not wanting to roll in a sack somewhere.

I'd be more than happy to have her two up with me, but everytime I offer,
    she takes up with Waco.

I know what Reggie meant by ''bone'ing'' .
It is that, Mark only understands a subject if it has the right
''context''...otherwise, Mark get a little frustated, and goes to his
dictionery, to try to impress someone.
I tried to explain the context of throwing a bone, vs, doing a
    ''bone''.....to Mark..
    (chuckle'ing as I type)

  6. Mark's joke was a reference to a standard Beavis and Butthead retort.
I'm not surprised you wouldn't understand that.

Oh? I thought he might have been calling her a dog. She's not, though.
A dog wouldn't squirm as much while leaned over in a corner, then ask you to
slow down because you are scaring her. That was the first and last time that
    will happen.
She may or may not be a rookie, but it would be best to treat her riding
skills like one. One mustn't take chances.
She's bigger than a dog, too.

  8. I wasn't sure if I should reply to this post or the original one that I
started...but then I saw the last paragraph of this post and felt the
    need to defend myself....

    ******************************************************

Waco....at the time you gave me that ride...I had only ridden one other
time in 8 years...so forgive me if I was not the perfect passenger.
Pardon the heck out of me if I was freezing my "bigger than a dog" size
ass off, on a night ride in the cold on back country roads that you
were not overly certain of yourself...I have been riding much more
since the ride you gave me, and haven't had anyone tell me as of yet
that I am too much of a rookie to ride.

Lastly...calling my size into question on a public forum is just not
very "gentlemanly" or polite...in private is another matter altogether.
Which I might add, I have no objection to doing...as Fullstate will
atest to, since I do understand the liablilty in letting a backseat
rider be more than the driver can handle.

So, in closing...I apologize that I started such a ruckas on this
matter...that was not my intention in the least bit. And in reference
to the posting that Bill made to my original query, I would have been
and am more than happy to take you or Brian up on the offer of a
    ride...

    Thanks...

    Jackie

Well, I apologize too. I didn't in any way mean to imply that you are
freakishly huge or anything. I should now point out that most adult humans
are indeed larger than any dog.
*I*, myself, am larger. I'm about the size of a small bear.

Even a small person would be a handful if they squirmed in a corner.

    Jackie,
I am *so* sorry that your posting and thread has turned into this. Let me
just say that after the long and many times you and I have communicated via
messenger and email, you are a very nice and warm person. The only reason I
jumped into this thread was to keep it from turning into a "let's bone the
crap out of her" or a "no gas, no ass, no ride" type thing.

If you want to message me sometime, feel free and we'll get going with a
"ride" again. If you're totally turned off to the idea, that's cool too....I
    could understand.

  11. Brian,

It is not your fault at all...I appreciate you trying to protect me...
Sadly to say, in the past few years; since most of my friends are
guys...I have learned to nip some of the crude comments in the
bud...and just laugh at the others. It is nice to know that I manage to
still present a nice and warm persona on the internet, instead of the
sarcastic smartass I tend to be in reality...LOL.

Definately not turned off by the idea of a ride, but I have had to
rebuild my messenger since we last chatted, so if you want to email me
your messenger ID, that would be cool.

    Thanks again...

    Jackie

  12. Hey Waco, are we talking a ''corner'' meaning a 90*......curve. ??? You
don't refer to all ''bends'' as corners, do ya?
Just hit me, and wondered...no big deal.

Going around a curve of just about any angle, at speed, is considered
"cornering". I don't know any bikes that will do 90%, even mine...and it has
    a hinge in the middle.
