    is a non-running MZ.
Very, very ugly indeed, but not quite as ugly as an Honda 400, and
it's also running now - OK it's probably slow. Crappy? An obvious
    troll.

Where about in the country are you?

    This is for two reasons...

[1] If you're local I'll come and help start it

    or

[2] If sort of local "How much for your non running MZ?"

Thanks for the offer(s), [1]I'm in Cornwall. [2]Its not a non running
MZ anymore. A thorough cleaning of the fuel path [3], plenty of wd40
and jiggling of electrics and it started. Fixed the puncture and took
it down the road. Lovely. I haven't had an MZ for a few years now, and
this one has rekindled my affection for the marque, I will have
trouble waiting to get it legal to take it out proper. See a couple of
    pics at http://www.velomatic.com/gg2k3/

[3] Drilled thirty-year-old 2T putty out of the petrol tap (eurgh),
and shook my patent nuts'n'gravel collection around the tank until my
arms hurt, rinse and repeat until clear. The carb was varnished, but
    only a bit.

    Mmmm, sex on a stick.
Dismantle it into big lumps, soak in cellouse paint thinners for a couple
of hours. Cheaper than carb cleaner.

You, Sir, are a deeply disturbed and worrying individual.

  6. God, that's even worse than sweller's :))

Is that an H1 lurking in the garage behind it?

After 3 or 4 years old you take it along to a test centre once a year, they
check it over for a list of roadworthy items, they take money, you get a
    certificate (or not).

Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique,
    typed
Once a vehicle is more than three years old (one year for certain
vehicles such as buses IIRC), then each year it must pass an official
inspection. This checks a fairly long list of items such as lights,
horn, bearings, structural integrity and so on. For cars, vans, trucks
and so on it includes an emissions check.

You have to have a valid MOT (stands for Ministry Of Transport) test
certificate (for a vehicle that needs one), together with proof of
insurance to get the annual road tax disc, which should be displayed on
    the vehicle.
