Help me upgrade my bike

Ok sorry for the vague heading.

Basically I want a new bike

I currently have a 2001 TTR600 Yamaha to which I have added Road tyres (sort
of like a Supermoto) but with standard size rims 21 front 18 rear.

This has been a great bike to get back into riding bikes.....and to get my
confidence back.
I have used it to aquire new skills that I never had before, as I got smart
and had some proper training / lessons.

All without the worry of throwing an expensive bike down the road, that was
going to cost heaps to repair (think something with a fairing etc)

Now I feel I can handle a better bike (no I am still no Mick Doohan worst
luck)

What I like are naked bikes.

This is not my choices of bike, but a list of ones which "I" quite like the
looks of

Honda VTR250
Ducati Monster
Suzuki SV650 (naked not S model)
Honda CB900 Hornet
Suzuki GSX1400
suzuki GS500
etc
etc

Probably to either of those I would add a centre stand (if it didn't come
with one) a small windshiled (like the ones available for the CB900 Hornet
and maybe some sort of Rack.......tho not a Gearsack type rack.

I don't need anything supersonic....tho I like bikes / cars with low down
grunt.....eg V8 cars.
Something like the VTR250 in say a 500 ~ 750 size would be nice.


Any thoughts?

Or any more questions to help me narrow something down.

Don't forget the new 04' Harley Sportster,MotoGuzzi Breva, neither have
silly chains

Oh and Valentino Rossi told me the new R6 powered Fazer is a top unit

SV650 is nice, but no centrestand available on the 2003 model.

The Motoguzzi sounds nice (shaftdrive Mmmm).....might go have a look at
their website.

Yup, tho I dunno if I need anything that fast.....unless they really changed
the engine to give it grunt and not top end Weeeeeeee.??

 

Did the earlier models come with a centre stand?
I actually prefer the older models instruments to the newer one. Tho Fuel
injection would be nice also.....

Actually thought about those VT1000F Hondas......did they make a nakid
version of those?
And the TRX850's get me interested also
