When I got the insurance for the new Kwaka last week I discovered that Swann
have a new insurance policy to replace their old MaxiRider policy. It
includes more benefits like a taxi after an accident and accommodation and
hire car if you're stuck more than 100km from home. On the down side though,
under the old MaxiRider policy you could pay an extra $50 and receive up to
$500 helmet cover. The new policy includes free helmet replacement cover, but
it is limited to max of $300.

    Bloody Insurance!

How does the kwaka compare to the blakka or is it still to early to tell?

Still running it in so I haven't used much of the rev range yet, but the extra
grunt is very noticeable... and talk about torque!!.. it pulls harder than
HatzOlah® in the toilet with a Ducati brochure.

Vibrate a bit at idle but above that I haven't found it to be a problem. Then
again as mirrors go they're pretty average. Took me a while to adjust them to
    see more than my elbows.

Two questions: what did the new policy cost you? And second, is this new
type of policy applicable to new policies, renewals or both? My
    Maxirider's expiring this month.

About 50% more than the policy for the XX. I could give raw numbers but
unless you're my age in my suburb with my rating they're probably meaningless.
New policies. I renewed the Maxirider policy for the 'bird last month and
there was no mention of any change.
