Helmet with eyes in the back of your head part update

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by George W Frost, Apr 29, 2010.

  1. This is an email I got from Reevu this afternoon
Thought it might help anyone who is thinking of buying one
    I might buy one
wonder when they will install a stereo system in it ?

""We are about to launch Reevu in Australia and New Zealand within the next
3 weeks. Both launching a new website along with a list of retail outlets
where they can be purchased. We have been inundated with enquiries over the
past 2 months with enquiries such as yours. At this stage we do not have
Australian Standards approval, however we foresee that being finalised
within the next 4 to 6 weeks. The helmet currently meets Euro, British and
DOT standards so we don't see there being an issue with the approval in
Australia. New Zealand however are able to use the helmet on the roads. Due
to the standards already achieved, the helmet can be used on tracks and also
has the FIM stamp of approval which is required for Moto GP and World
    Superbikes.

In the coming weeks, we will release a formal newsletter/bulletin/email to
all that have enquired advising them of the finer details.

I hope the information provided is sufficient at this stage, but I assure
you more correspondence will come in the weeks to follow.

    Cheers

  2. You might want to mention to him he probably should add an area code
as well as the country code for that fax number :)

Surely the point was that the dipstick didn't include his area code. *Of
course* there are clever workarounds. It's his job to present his contact
details correctly, not our job to deduce what he left out.

  5. For all the ones who are either too lazy or too mean to try out what Yeebok
    suggested,
I tried it out and came up with what I suggested before
It is 03 86153669, which came up with a fax signal

  6. Yeah I'm becoming a bit of a pedant on that as I am working in
telecommunications and get sick of having to spend time working out
what numbers certain bank branches have on their faxes because they
don't know what the number is because "Oh we only send out from that
one". Cue Kevvy spending an hour trawling through databases and
dialing lots of numbers til one comes up with a fax signal.

  7. I do. Indeed.

But I am working with telephone numbers all day at work and that sort
of thing tends to jump out at me for some strange reason :p

  8. Come on now Kev, there are not that many numbers to go through
    you only have about seven at the most, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,.
I started and if it wasn't goiung to be a legitimate number, then the
recording would come in after the third number
then I tried the next one
