Can someone help me with a picture?

I recently bought a 1981 Honda CB750 Custom where a previous owner did some
modifications to the bike and removed the helmet lock. I have the lock but
I am having difficulty figuring out where it mounts on the bike. The Honda
dealer looked on the parts list and its on a diagram with the seat.
Pictures that I can find on the Internet indicate that its mounted on the
right side of the bike just forward of the right rear shock absorber.

But, is this helmet lock bolted to the seat or to the frame? A few close up
pictures of the mounting of this would be very helpful.

    Thanks,
    Glenn Bruner

There was a plate welded to the frame on my CB650 of that era that the
rear lock mounted to and the front hook was just that welded to the
frame. The seat captured it when closed.
Don't know if the 750 is the same.

No, mine had a straight pin that extended out from the lock mechanism as you
turned the key until it hit a strike plate. You need a key to lock and
    unlock it.
