I don't care what anyone says, a motorcycle wreck is just a motorcycle
wreck. You can't predict it, nor can you say what you'll do when it
happens. A motorcycle helmet isn't a replacement (or insurance, as
some have said) for good riding skills and avoidance of crashing. A
helmet also doesn't mean you can ride faster or more "on the edge".

A helmet to me? I wear a helmet not for crash protection, but rather
element protection. It helps keep the sun off my bald(ing) head and
keeps me from getting cold or too hot and burned. Plus that, I look
DAMNED good in a helmet! I'm like "smoking hot" when I wear my helmet
and Joe Rocket jacket! And don't let these guys talking about "safety"
kid you....there's nothing more valuable than looking hot for the
chicks as you ride down the boulevard with your $120 tribal painted
helmet....and pulling off the helmet and not having your skin all
burned up from the sun. That's just cuddle factor there!

As a matter of fact, truth be told, everything I wear on a motorcycle
is to make me look good....I need all the help I can get! :)
