Twice in the last 3 days I've had someone ask to borrow my helmet - am I
being 'precious' in saying they can use it when I'm dead and not before?

Nope. Ask if you can borrow a knife and play with their seatbelts.

"Sure. Don't mind the smell though. Been trying to treat a headlice
infection lately thanks to the kids......"

Or just tell them to **** off. ;-)

    Cheers,
    Dale.

Not at all, I like the headlice approach too... The only noggin that seen
the inside of my lid is mine.

On a completely different note, you up for a run next weekend? Now that your
    tyres are worn in *grin*

    Cheers

I'm with Al. Whenever anyone at work has touched my helmet, I've asked
for their car keys so I could go play with their seatbelts.

I'd certainly never ask to borrow one, that's for sure - so I figured in
99% of cases the answer should be no. Thanks for that, peoples :)

If the weather's anything like this weekend, I'll be out and about as
much as possible and company's always good !

Sounds a goer with me.. just have to convince She Who Must Be Convinced. :)

  9. When I replace a lid I keep the old one for just that purpose.

No problems here. Will lend them a helmet any day or night of the week

Me too. I kind of see it like loaning a condom to a dirty hooker for the
night before using the same one yourself the following morning.

You can be *really* unkind Tim.

    Wah.
My leave ends on race day,so a few of us will be doing the Barry
Sheene dinner/ride during the week, then heading back to watch the race
    at home. :-(
And yes,I realise I _could_ leave PI after the race Sunday arvo and
ride straight back to Sydney for work by 5:30am Monday, but I'm not
    gunna...
