Anyone see tonights This World prog about Hells Angels & all the worldwide
    chapters?
Does anybody think that the UK chapters are whiter than the driven snow as
    they claim to be,
when compared to their US brothers, or am I treading on very thin ice here?
TBH, the whole thing smacks of playground power games, except with a very
    sinister slant
(ie bombings, shooting, knifings, etc as opposed to school bullies and their
    gang members)

You seem to have your opinion, what are you looking for? Reinforcement
    of it?

The first time I saw them at a drag race meet, my overwhelming first
    impression was:

"Look. A group of individuals with the same haircut and dress sense"

    Then, obviously, I shat myself.

    There is/was no "van", it's a take-away in Blackpool.

It's a long story but yes, I got it started with the guy who
dreamed up the idea. I did all the things I said I would do to
set the entire project up, then it was his turn... Only I ended
up doing that bit as well.

Things didn't work out so I'm gratefully out of it. Still, I can
now make pizza, burgers, chips and I can cut doner kebab which
    I'm told is a worthwhile skill. :-|

What has been an eye opener, was watching the general
pubic^H^H^sorry, 'public' between the hours of 11:00pm and 4:30am
in Blackpool. I'm talking the dregs of society here, and now I
    feel really old. heh.

Nope. But i doubt it was good.
Nope, having been far too close to being enrolled in that lifestlye
permanently I *know* the only thing whiter than white about the UK
chapters is the cocaine they play with.[1] So what?

why not mention any of the other groups that are in essence exactly the
same? Outlaws? Bandidos? Yakuza? Triads? Catholics? $anyothercliques
well it's hardly going to be a problem, what with you being mostly
anonymous and stuff. So thin ice, unlikely, wrong, definitely.

And what about the Euro Chapters? and the Scandinavian ones? etc etc.
Well that's one way of putting it I suppose.
The HA (and other similar cliques with the exception of NCC, are mostly
very nice people, who enjoy their bikes and biking lifestyle much as we
do. They go about their own business. No threat to the average human
being. Much like UKRM really. Unless you're a member of a rival clique
[3] or doing business with them and not playing nicely. [4]

What is obvious is that this culture is far less by ratio per capita
over here in UK and Europe than in the US. Therefore there is
proportionately less stuff going on. Ergo, we don't hear as much about it.

There is a lot of good stuff done by these type of cliques, think of all
the major rallies, have you been to Bulldog Bash? or Rock n Blues? Toy
runs? Cos most of them are organised by the large patch clubs.

Personally, if there was the opportunity again, I'd be friendly with my
local patch club of whatever brand. Not with any desire to join, just
because these kind of bikers tend to be the salt of the earth "you
scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". Much like UKRM but both more
local and global at the same time. Oh and they're far more mechanically
minded than I am which is useful.

[1] You know, buy, sell, use, by the truck load.[2]
[2] approximate figures but I jest not.
[3] and lets not forget, people who join these cliques know *exactly*
    what they're getting into.
[4] and lets face it, these people know exactly who they're dealing with

Right, now I'm off to see if I can sleep this time round.

I s`pose yes, if I`m honest...I was just amazed that this sort of thing has
been allowed for so long, but guess
that always happens where organized crime is concerned.. Still scary stuff
    tho.

  15. UK chapters certainly aren't entirely clean & having been a witness to non
affiliate groups & the violence, it isn't just angels that have this type of
    organisation.

    Yep..and then I pissed myself.

I got the smell right at least, but that wasn't what they meant by a
    'patch' club.
