    Welcome back.
You won't find safety a standard feature of any bike. It's an optional extra
better known as experience, training and/or common-sense.
Neither of these two bikes will prevent you from riding like a twat and
    killing yourself.

If I really, really had to have a 600 I'd get a GSXR600K4. Looks the
danglies and has nice USD forks now as well.

OK, taking into account my limited (3Years) riding experiance, started on a
CBR600F (1 Year) then an R6 (2 Years), would you guys reccoemnd a new R6 or
    a CBR600RR?

I am looking to keep this bike for around 4-5 Years, occasional dry use
(sorry!!) a bike to enjoy when the wife lets me out.

    What do you think?

It's nice and safe too - if you don't ride it.

I'd get a ZX636R, because they also have USD forks, and come in black.

    **** off, welcome back
    Who? You? No.
No wonder you were abused first time round!

Get which one you can ride the most on. Then thrash it to within an inch of
    its life and yours!
Take it to a track and abuse the dirty little bitch. Then pay for a service
    and some new tyres.
Realise that you want more. You're arguing more with the wife now.
    By a race fairing.
Another service. Do a few more track days.
Another service and tyres, braided hoses and wavey disks.
New exhaust system. Argue a bit more.
Pay for some slicks, Wets on wheels and a quickshifter.
Talk about racing. You start divorce proceedings.
    Start racing. Divorce comes through.
Service the bike after every meet and run a pair of tyres for each one.
Work is suffering but as long as you've got your bike. You're cool.
Wife calls up as you haven't seen your kids for 6 months.
Call the wife to tell her that you can't see the kids because you have a
race on the day that you'd previously made.
The CSA get involved, you move house. You downsize.
You get the sack because you are shit in work now.
You're skint and decide to sell the bike.
You get 10% of what you payed for it.
You're homeless and everyone hates you.

But you bought a new bike once.

    Biking, It screws you up.

I thought it'd touch a few nerves. My wife's just realised how much more
    time Motocross
    takes up.

I wrote that because thats the route I was going down when I owned the
    blade.
I'll do it one day! Well without the divorce etc.

    Currently very happily married!

Buy my SV650S. Cheap, good condition - nice reintroduction to bikes and
a good bartering tool for trading in when you're happy and have
    forgotten all this safety rubbish.
