I had a set of custom ear plugs made a few years ago after starting to
get tinnitus. It was definitely caused by riding the bike.

Haven't suffered since, use them religiously, even for short journeys.

I think they have a 19dB protection level, enough to cut down on wind
noise but not to block sirens etc.

I thought this was going to be a thread about sign language.

Why is it that half the channels at night have some mong lover taking
up a quarter of the screen doing sign language. Don't deaf people
sleep or do their noisy neighbours wake them up?

    They did on screen.

Apparently that frantic arm waving on the other side of a wall or window is
enough to wake the dead, let alone wake a deaf bleeder.
