They may not be the world's best quality, but the price is nice.

    Tank bag looks tasty.

I've heard good and bad reports about the boots. I suspect it's a
question of whether or not they suit your feet.

Has anyone used their pants? I could use a reasonably water-resistant set.

(oh.. and I've had good use from a set of those giant twist ties near
the bottom. Sort of like pipe cleaners on steroids, I use them (for
instance) to stop a bike on a bike rack from flapping about.

I like the look of the motorcycle socks and the kidney belt
They will be available next thurs.
I did buy a pair of the boots some time ago, not the worlds best boots, but
    I only paid $30.
Very good for low cost items, and handy as a second pair, especially during
    extended wet periods

Tankbags are fine, has been hardwearing enough so far and reasonably
waterproof even without the cover thingy.

Boots are fine for me, socks also. How they'd be in 30°C plus temps is
    another matter...

Gloves are fair, ditto the B-Square helmets. Ain't used the
jackets/trousers but someone I know who has reckons they're fine for
    UK wet weather.

    Hope that helps.

I'll be grabbing one of these, I think.
I haven't seen the pants, but I take it that they're similar to DriRider wet
weather pants? (yes, it's a question).

I'm also looking for pants for summer or at least, warm weather use. I wonder
how these would go. Too hot, perhaps?

  9. Pants good, zip broke - put new zip in

I had heard that the tank-bags were ok, so bought one today.

    The good:
    seems well made,
    lots of pockets,
bag is in 2 parts which can be used separately or combined

    The bad:
zipping bags onto base if fiddly,
base has 2 straps, one for head stock is ok, one to go around under
    tank is problematic,
base has no hole for petrol cap meaning it has to be removed to fill up
(unless you cut a hole in it of course :)

I bought one last year and was quite happy with it.
I reckon un-clicking the strap is far simpler than unzipping my old tankbag
    for re-fuelling.

I had a look at the boots and decided against them. A bit too
'mighty morphin power ranger' for me.

Anyway, that's not the point of my post. I was at the door when
they opened on Thursday, and bought up a bunch of the motorcycle
gear. I bought a few of different sizes so that a friend could
try them and choose which suited her, with the intention of
    returning the rest.

So, I have one medium sized "short style" jacket ($99), two pairs
of the black gloves (one medium, one large, $35ea), and one of
those security chains ($20) that I don't need...

I'll return them to Aldi for refund, but I thought I'd ask here
first in case anyone wants to take them off me, 'cos the aldi
gear can be hard to get if you're not waiting when the doors open
    on Thursday morning :)

Gloves (black). Seem to be fairly standard sizes, the XL size fitted
me, and the S size fitted my (girlie) mate. They're a bit chunky,
with a bit of a winter lining.

Jacket (I think the 'long style' is pictured there, I have the 'short):
They're a fairly generous size. The 'M' size is a good fit on my
(80Kg, 5'10) torso (I usually wear XL sized stuff), the arms are
about an inch too short for me).

    Chain lock (it's a chain/lock):

I'm in Sydney. Happy to mail. Giz a yell if you wantum, else I'll
throw them back to Aldi in a day or so.

I also got one last year. I use the head stock strap and magnets to attach
to my tank (not the one that goes around the tank). When I need to fill up,
I leave the strap attached and simply lift off the magnets and twist the
whole bag so its only on one side and I can fill up.
