went to the causeway bike complex her in perth

apparently the distributor of suomy as changed from mckenna?? to wayne
    gardiner enterprises

so all the old stock is going cheapish to make way for new stuff

    gunwinds are $499 and rep-1 are $570

for your interest - im guessing its the same in the ES ??????

Well, they'd want to be cheap for the old stock, as I'm sure Wayne will be
putting prices through the roof soon.

Yeah there were some very cheap Suomy lids in the
old-stock-chuckery-outery section at Peter Stevens on Lizzy st. Few
hundred bucks off. One of them felt great, I would have boutght it if
    it had anti-foggery measures.

I have trouble with my Suomy on the racetrack. It is a gunwind, and it
is constantly trying to rip my head off at any speed over about 90mph.

If you're going to buy a Suomy be aware of this. Note: I have crashed
a Suomy severely, and I am still alive. I have owned 2 of them and will
buy one again if they work on their aerodynamics.

Andrew helmets and bikes and people are an individual thing... what one
person on one bike experiences another person on another bike (or even
the same model bike) probably will not experience.

Generalising like this from your experience simply isn't valid (for
    anyone except you :)
