Do any of you lot ride with musical (or Radio 4 for that matter)
accompaniment? I tried for the first time today (not sure why it's taken me
so long to consider it) and found it mostly a very good experience. Apart
from the headphones, which became quite painful in my relatively tight
    Shoei.

So - any recs for headphones that work well inside a lid?

Hmm, I've been thinking about this myself recently. I'm considering
getting an MP3 player with radio for going out on the bike but I'm a
bit wary about the earphones as I've always had a great deal of trouble
with the (variety) available on the DC training w/e.

The music of the ride not good enough for you then?

Besides staying out of A@E is a positive benefit of paying attention.

Well, my question stands. Just turn the volume up a bit and it's fine.

Indeed, much why I haven't tried it before. But I didn't find it at all
distracting actually, mentally switched it off when I needed to. Radio 4
doesn't really work, but music was fine.

*Ding* - you've got one of those perambulating-amplifier affairs haven't
you....do those things actually sound any good?

I'll agree. A bike is no place to be listening to a chat show. Heavy
Rock FM is the only answer.

<G> Mine is OK up to about 50-ish, then it all starts to get lost in the
    slipstream.

This evening I was playing with the on-board sound effects available
from the throttle. Cracking it WFO at about 4000 produces an absolutely
*gorgeous* roar. Addictive it is. And I don't *think* that Gatso in
    Wing[1] is active...

[1] No, really. How fucking ironic would that be, eh?
