headlight bulb blown

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by genuine_froggie, Jan 21, 2005.

  1. Replaced the headlight bulb on the K100 maybe two months ago. It's
blown again. This seems to be somewhat quick for a bulb to go.
    Opinions?

Oh, and riding through the Bourgogne countryside on 'D' roads in pitch
blackness with just sidelights _is_ an experience not to be missed...

  8. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember saying
    something like:
Fit a driving lamp or two. Backup, see?

    fumbled, fiddled and fingered:
Inside the fairing of your K is a three position headlight beam flip
lever thingy, it allows for quick beam adjustment

    position:

    1: you
    2: you and a passenger
3: you, a passenger and luggage

If you flip it to position 3 when you're solo it'll lower the full beam
enough to emulate (ish) dip beam as a get you home without blinding
    others.

So... it's been established you don't know how to use the brakes on a bike.

It appears you're not too good with the headlight either.

How are you on working the indicators, or maybe the horn?

'locking ring', or whatever you call it. Anyway, it's done.
