    Not long Had, MOT Problem!

1999 Hayabusa with 4 into 1 and D&D end can, exhaust pipe diameter is 50 mm
where the can slides of it.

The problem is the MOT is coming up and the "can" is not Marked as road
legal, dose any one know of a road legal "end can" that would be suitable? I
am not really looking for a slip in silencer or ebay rivit on labels as I
might just as well leave the new can on permanently and pop the D&D on for
track days. Searching the internet It seems most "end cans" are offered in
pairs and are supplied as bolt on replacements for the original exhaust
pipe. Doesn't seem to be an option to fit a road legal 4 into 1.

    alternatives Please

That is irrelephant. The questions you need to ask yourself are:

    1. Is it marked as /not/ road legal (i.e. 'Off-road Use Only or
something similar)? If so, just put a sticker (or aluminium tape) over
    the markings.

    2. Is it stupidly loud? If it is, either find a friendly MOT man, or
ram a dead sheep down the can.

Yep. I've never had a problem with an unmarked full Yoshi system on a
'Busa even though it's quite fruity. And it's been to several
    different MOTers locally too.

    Yes it should.
A blind tester does not a rule make.

The change was to make it no longer mandatory to have 'E' marked
silencers. If they're marked 'not for road use' they should still be
failed regardless of how quiet they are. Whether they /do/ fail is
obviously a different matter, but they should.
