I used to have a snake, A Boa, 'as it 'appens.
Lovely little fella he was. Wasn't quite big enough to get down more than a
couple of rats in one sitting mind.
Got rid of him when we moved as he was getting rather large, and..
I was tempted to feed the little scrote next door to us at the time, to him.
Her indoors didn't think this very neighbourly.
They do like warm places, and when it was a babe, it used to crawl down the
wife's cleavage at every opportunity. Got a big in the end, even for my
    wife's rather ample nesting spot!

Nah I'd like to know what course of action to take should I ever fancy
buying a boa, tiger, whale or other amusingly off-the-wall pet that
might become a nuisance when it inconveniently grows up. You know,
after it's stopped being cuddly or doing amusing party tricks.
Presuambly you can't just drown them in the canal, like you can kids.

Why not get a redback spider? Then, when you're fed up with it, you
    can just stamp on it.

A boa you sell to your nearest chinese take away.
Tiger - let it loose in the parliament nearest and dearest to you.
A whale - grilled, preferably over charcoal, is delicious.

  9. Bloke at school had a boa[1]. Called it 'Feather', IIRC.

    [1] And a python[2]
[2] Yes, it was called what you're thinking, as well. Predictable or
    what?

.....maybe its "on a plane". Perhaps a security threat too, hence the current
    overreaction by the government.

What the **** is that film like by the way? It immediately seems aweful but
there seems to be a counter hype suggesting almost that its worth watching
eg C4 reviews (theres **** all else on at the moment at the Cinema).

Read the Wikipedia entry. It's quite astonishing. It'll be shit, but the
    hype is absolutely wonderful.

    I know a tale of a Boa.

Fed a live rat for its dinner. It wasn't hungry but the dinner was and
ate a great lump out of the side of the snake. I'll keep the story
short and leave you dear reader to make your own mind up about the
mental abilities of the owner but suffice to say that his next act was
to take it the local casualty department to get it stitched up and was
most miffed when they a) refused and b) would not sell him surgical
needle and thread. So he brought the snake home and made the repair
himself with a combination of gaffa tape and glue. The snake died and
for some reason he took it for a ride around the north circular before
lobbing it out of the car window. The body was subsequently found and
was of sufficient interest that it actually made the BBC news where,
misidentifying it as a Python, the Beeb rather originally christened it
Monty. And yes he did ring them up and complain that it was in fact a
    Boa and not a Python.
