Sorry mate, you know how clannish these BMW riders are.
If he goes riding with anyone wearing a hawaiian shirt,
anyone riding an XJ or anyone named 'Doherty' he's out.

They ride both kinds of bikes: R-bikes _and_ K-bikes!
(there's some F-bikes, presumably, but that's one of
    those don't-ask-don't-tell things, I think ...)

You're in Brissie aren't you? I'll be up there in early August for a
week, maybe I can have a look then.

Can't place the name but it sounds familiar.
Well that's all right then. I never did either.
his wife's Dyna-Glide too but the
Actually probably a good bike for there with the hills and rough roads.
    Well after my time.
    didn't knock.

Yep, it became Telstra OTC Australia in '93. The Telstra name and new logo
was first applied to all the OTC sites with the logo and Telecom Australia
still being used on TA sites. I has just started back in Oz by then working
up at Comms House in Brissie on secondment to Breakthrough for Customers. I
had been the manager at the OTC Norfolk cable station.
I've been back a few times when I was project managing some building repairs
and Elisabeth and the kids went back once with me. We loved the place and
    didn't want to leave.
And cigs. They were $1.35 a pack back then.
After a while you can start to understand some of it.

Sounds like I would have lost the bidding war anyway! I try not to
buy bikes without looking at them, and I need to refrain for a few
months anyway (until I've moved house).

Thanks for the offer though, most kind! ;-)

My son's got a Disco. Handling's about as good as our Firetruck but
the brakes aren't as good. Fuel consumption is unbelievable. That

Why is it a problem at all. Is there some law you have to go around
corners at max speed and max lean? Are you a lesser person if you ride
    to see the scenery?

  13. Pat and I were in a club thats constution stated all committee members must
ride 4 cylinder bikes. That most of the committee were riding twins at the
    time was ignored.

    Al
(it was a four cylinder club so the provision was fair)

Not at all. We all do that. But how many blat along at 80kph (or more) then
slow down to 50 (or less) for a corner that can be comfortably taken, even in
my Rangie, at more than 80?

Beware of the complex ones. And the imaginary ones buy a lot of
    t-shirts.
