  2. Been having a hard time finding out what it is worth. No dealer will
    tell me, and they are selling them for 7500.
    Give me a gestimate PLEASE

    Agree w/ most of what Dave wrote, except that 27k is *not* a lot of
    mileage on a Sporty motor. The only issue at that mileage is that you
    need to replace lifters about every 30k to be safe. I've known a lot
    of people who go much further on a set of lifters, but it's cheap
    insurance (~$100) vice paying a LOT more for a motor rebuild if one
    grenades on ya. Also Evo motors are known for leaking base gaskets,
    especially if you don't warm the engine up before taking off.

    If you take care of your motor and do oil changes regularly, a Harley
    motor (or most others too) will last a long, long time. I just did a
    top end on my FXR at 104k b/c I had a rocker go bad and bent a valve.
    I've had friends go 160-180k w/out a rebuild on theirs. Do the
    maintenance and whatever you ride will be w/ ya for years.
