Happy happy man

  1. Went to the auctions today and picked up a 15 month old Daytona 675 with
4080ks on the clock for $7 grand. Couldn't be happier. It had been
owned by a guy who was caught out by his girlfriend shagging her sister.
So she took to his bike with a hammer. There is a couple of dents in
the tank and the right side fairing is a bit cracked. A couple of dents
in the subframe and the cylinder head that are tiny too. So it looks
like a bit of panel work on the tank and a new fairing on the right side
and I will have a brand new looking bike. Brilliant!!!! Just what the
doctor ordered for my fun bike.

There was some super bargains. A 2 year old hornet that needed new
forks and some front end work went for less than 2 grand. A red Norge
that was 2 years old and needed some fairings and a passenger side
footpeg went for $5800. It was amazing how cheap some of the stuff was.

  4. It's getting that way. : )

I called my mate who got me back into bikes and called him a bastard. I
went from no bikes to currently 4 bikes in the shed. The Blackbird is
all but sold and the VTR is getting a lot of interest but I am becoming
a bit of a compulsive collector. I'm pretty happy with the combo of the
V-Strom and the Daytona. Between them I can pretty much do everything I
want to do on a bike. The Wee for commuting and touring and the Daytona
for the track and thrashing through the hills. I am addicted to riding
    now. Divorce is great!!!!!!
