So far today I've toddled off to A&E where they decided that I'd
managed to remove what felt like a lump of concrete from my left
eyeball and only scratched the eye when I was poking around, I've had
the Tenere off road and despite the nearly slick Tourances I didn't
fall off, Bedford won by 50 odd points in the rugby and England are
    battering Pakistan at cricket.

I think I'll fire up the barbie, burn some meat and drink more beer
before dozing off on the sofa for the evening.

I'm not sure many people would have bet on an England win at midday on
Friday. Extraordinary game. Apart from Broad and Trott (according to
TMS) the average per wicket is around 9 runs.

I have no confidence for the ashes though.

When we walked down the road to watch the rugby Pakistan were about to
start batting and by the time we got home they were all out. That's
the sort of batting I've seen from England for about 30 years so to
see (or not see iyswim) someone else do it was great fun.
I know I'm putting the mockers on them by saying this but right now
I'd say England will win 3-2 because both sides are so crap that
unless there's torrential rain we'll see a result in every match.

Mid-season testing? I'm sure that's against the rules.

I trust you threw yourself and it into some brambles, Packer-style.

It was only about a mile long track with the obligatory land rover
manufactured ruts full of mud and water so it didn't count.
I didn't lob it into the bushes but the trainers, jeans and light
weight leather jacket might have made me ride a bit more sensibly than
the farm boy would have done.
