  1. What he said. Always buy a bigger trailer than you think you'll need.

    What do you honestly expect?

A lot of people go and buy a 'kitted' bike for a couple of grand with
the intention of using it solely for trackdays. They're probably not
good enough for the fast/race group yet look like big fish in a small
pond when they're out in the inters. They'll probably progress to the
fast group eventually and maybe even go racing so stop moaning about
them and try to go faster yourself.

Trackdays are imitation race days for a lot of people. That's just the
way it is and no matter how many times organisers say that isn't the
case they're bullshitting. If I'm out on a track I go for it from the
second session onwards and anyone who doesn't like it can **** off.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular. It's just spelling out
what riders should expect if they want to take their bike on a race
track. Even the novice group isn't the place for the inexperienced
rider and anyone who does a trackday expecting to improve their road
riding skills is naive to say the least. It's a fucking race track.

Who do you think ran my bike in for me?

    Thankyou.

I now realise what it is that doesn't really appeal about trackdays.

I would have thought being a novice you'd buy second hand leathers in
case you didn't like it. Probably buy a race bike as well to stop your
    road bike being trashed.

If you take your road bike do you still need to wire/tape everything up
or can you just ride in straight off the road ?

you don't "need" to, but it's recomended that you at least tape
    up/remove is possible any glass i.e. lights/mirrors.

The whole lot was removed a long time ago but I've stuck one back up
for scrutiny. I'll let you decide if it's Gyp or sweller.

It's sweller, the clutch covering gives away his 2 stroke leanings.

    mike. buckley says...
They weren't too fast for the novice group at al, they were actually
dog-fucking-slow considering the machinery they were on. I was going
round the outside of them on a Bandit 600 and I wasn't cornering as fast
as I'd have liked due to a chronic lack of ground clearance.
