  1. some time ago we went up to the ally pally bike show. Hagon or somebody had
a stand showing off their shiney stainless rims for classic bike wheels and
there was a smart bird deomsbtaring wheelbuilding. Assembled and trued a
wheel in about 15 minutes whill chatting to the passers-by.

takes me about an hour, buggrit.

from the strawbuilt shed, The cock's shrill clarion, or the echoing
horn, No more shall rouse them from their lowly bed."

  2. I parsed this as 'de-Comstaring" at first. Pissed, were we?

If you join your local TRF group, you'll probably be shown a lot more
trails that aren't on the map. Unfortunately many that are on the map
will soon be illegal, especially if they're in a National Park.
www.adrenalintrip.net has some good MX & Enduro forums.
http://www.endurouk.com/ is probably the best Enduro news site, & has
loads of links. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/RidesOrgUK/ is a
good place for general chat & finding people to ride with, as are the
    forums on http://www.trailbikemag.com/

Sadly you if want to try trail riding you will find that a lot of
trails have been closed or are illegal to ride on now, due to the
antics of 4WD idiots and the sort of twats that ride modern enduro/MX
bikes on the trails at race speeds, wearing full body armour etc etc!

If you fancy off road riding, you would probably be best to get
involved in pre-65 trials, as there are plently of well orgnised events
in your area, and if you can get hold of a properly put together bike,
its something of an investment, and will not lose money like the modern
shite.Forget about any speed events on older bikes, unless you are
prepared to spend a fair bit of money, and dont mind evenings in the
    workshop.

  5. no, as it happens. I blame this keyboard, the keys are in the wrong place.
That and the spell checker makes one lazy in the matter of typing properly.

  8. Why not?
That's what comes of seeing double.
And you can blame that how? Didn't it notice the word, or have you added
    it to the dicktschiunharry?

  10. That's a great read. I was on a wave of enthusiasm anyway but his
descriptions of riding the things had me salivating in expectation as
my B44 will be fairly close in power and handling characteristics. I
printed off about 10 of those Memorable M/cs articles and read em, and
while the shorter pieces were entertaining they lacked the research
that had gone into to the Ti-BSA piece.
