Hairdryer alert - Lady Game Drive

    Yesterday I rode from Nth Ryde to Chatswood at around 10:30am via Lady Game
    Drive (as you do). Crossing the Grosvenor St roundabout I got stuck behind
    a 4wd and around the next bend decided against overtaking it for some
    inexplicable reason.

    Good thing as there were 2 mcycle cops + 1 hairdryer sitting on the LHS
    opposite the L.G.Drive entrance to the park facing northwards. They gave a
    wry smile as I passed, perhaps assuming I was going to blast away that 4wd
    and right into their bank account...

    In the 20 or so years I've been using this route regularly, this is the
    first time I've seen a cop on it and so will curb my complacency from now
    on, which is a bummer as it's a good place to have a little twist... :)

    P.S. Motorcycle cops don't do themselves any favours when they don't return
    a well-meaning nod. (Weeell, it was more of a "I got away with that one"
    nod...).

    Last time I saw one I nodded by way of automation [bike = nod], got a very
    grave looking look in return. I had "lanesplit" my way to the front of a
    line/red light, he was going the other way ... but there wasn't anything
    remotely tight about my splitting so I guess that was his little warning.

    Yeah whatever was my internal response.

    Hehe - yes, it was actually one of the 60 variety! At the spot I could've
    been blowdried, an XX could easily be doing....

    ..... um... ahem... a *really* naughty speed.

    So they tell me.
