Couldn't agree more. Always had excellent service from them no matter
what time of day or night I call.

However, in that past I had excellent service from HSBC when I had an
account with them so wouldn't expect anything less from FD.

Okay, I'll try to simplify my train of thought on this one for you, and yes,
I am aware of how insco's work with regard to risk assessment.

I cannot see that a 17 y/o on L Plates in a VW Golf owned by his dad, with
either his mum or dad sat next to him at all times is a higher risk than a
17 y/o who's just passed their test in a Renault Clio.

In fact, to illustrate this, whilst he was learning to drive (admittedly, in
the Clio) with his mum or me sat next to him, he drove extremely well and
very carefully. 3 days after passing his test he stuffed the Clio into the
back of another car whilst out with his mates.

Bear emerged from their own little world to say
Halifax is not a building society. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of HBOS
    plc formerly Bank of Scotland.

  4. I'd guess there's a suspicion that you're running away from an account
with problems. In the same way you nearly always have to provide
previous addresses if you've moved in the last 3/5 years.
